Orix clinches second win, Hiroshima averts last‑place drop in NPB games

The Orix Buffaloes defeated the Seibu Lions in an 11‑inning thriller, breaking a 3‑3 tie with two runs in the extra frame. Reliever Yoshida earned his second win of the season while Yamaoka recorded his first save in three years, sending Seibu down to third place.

In Hiroshima, the Toyo Carp rallied to a 4‑3 comeback victory over the Chunichi Dragons, avoiding a fall to the league bottom for the first time since May. Key contributions came from Suzuki’s early innings work, a solo home run by Omori, and a decisive two‑run blast by Akiyama in the eighth inning, securing the Carp’s first win in six games.
