Orjan Nyland joins RB Leipzig and Ed Verhoeven returns to Nyköpings BIS

Norwegian goalkeeper Orjan Nyland, who left Sevilla on June 30 after three seasons, is set to re‑sign with his former club RB Leipzig on a two‑year contract as a free agent. The 35‑year‑old made only seven appearances for Sevilla last season but was a starter for Norway at the World Cup, prompting Leipzig to bring him back.

Chilean‑Dutch midfielder Ed Verhoeven has signed again for Swedish fourth‑tier side Nyköpings BIS. The 25‑year‑old, who previously played for Cobreloa, Lanús and Trasandino, will serve as the club’s “Supporter Player” for the 2026 autumn campaign, adding experience to the Division 2 squad.
