Orlando Gill transfers from San Lorenzo to Lille

Paraguayan goalkeeper Orlando Gill is transferring from San Lorenzo to the French club Lille. The deal involves the sale of 50% of the player's economic rights for a gross amount of US$4.65 million.

Gill, who rose to prominence following a standout performance at the 2026 World Cup with the Paraguay national team, will sign a five-year contract with the French side. Lille secured the signing despite interest from other clubs, including Italy's Monza.

During his tenure at San Lorenzo, Gill played 63 matches and kept 31 clean sheets. The transfer provides much-needed revenue for San Lorenzo as the club navigates financial challenges and debt.
