Orlando Heat Advisory and Nighttime Attractions Shape Summer Experience

A heat advisory remains in effect for Orlando and the Walt Disney World Resort through 7:00 p.m. on July 11, with heat‑index values expected to reach up to 110 °F. Officials advise limiting outdoor activities between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., staying hydrated, using cooling measures and recognizing signs of heat illness.

Despite the extreme heat, Central Florida venues are promoting evening programs that take advantage of cooler temperatures after sunset. Popular options include AquaGlow at Aquatica, Busch Gardens Summer Nights in Tampa Bay, Disney After Hours events at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, SeaWorld’s Electric Ocean, Typhoon Lagoon’s H2O Glow, Island H2O Water Park’s family night, and Volcano Bay’s nighttime parties. These events feature illuminated rides, live entertainment, DJs, fireworks and special food offerings, providing families with lower crowd levels and reduced heat exposure.
