Orlando Home Inspection Firms Highlight Sewer Camera Inspections

Home inspection companies in Orlando, Florida, are urging homeowners to schedule regular sewer line camera inspections. ACF Home Inspections and Orange Coast Plumbing explain that a camera inspection runs a waterproof camera through the main sewer pipe to detect cracks, blockages, root intrusion, corrosion and other damage, helping avoid costly emergency repairs.

The advice recommends inspections every 1–2 years for newer homes, every 3–5 years for newer construction without known issues, and immediate inspections when signs such as slow drains, gurgling toilets, sewage odors, or soggy grass appear. Older homes built before the 1980s may need more frequent checks due to materials like clay tile, cast iron or Orangeburg pipe, which are prone to cracking and root damage.
