Orlando hosts community festivals and historical programs in October

Orlando will host several community events throughout October 2026, including the Orlando Fire & Flavor Festival and various programs at the Orange County Regional History Center.

The Fire & Flavor Festival is scheduled for October 10–11 at Festival Park. The event features spicy food tastings, hot sauce vendors, a pepper eating competition, and live music from acts such as Delta Circle and Banjoe Steve. The festival includes family activities like axe throwing and a kids zone, with proceeds supporting the nonprofit One Heart for Women and Children.

In downtown Orlando, the Orange County Regional History Center is hosting a series of October programs. These include a Lunch & Learn session regarding Orlando’s LGBTQ+ history, a History Alive day focused on Florida’s natural world, and a Trick or Treat Safe Zone for families. The month's programming also includes a History After Dark event centered on a 1920s murder case.
