Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos win ATP Brussels opening match

Brazilian doubles pair Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos secured a victory in their opening match at the ATP 250 in Brussels, Belgium. Playing on an indoor hard court, they defeated the team of Luke Johnson (GBR) and Sander Arends (HOL) in straight sets, 7/5 and 6/4.

The match required significant mental resilience, as the Brazilians overcame deficits of 4-1 in both sets to complete the comeback. Following the win, Orlando Luz emphasized the importance of their mental strength after a challenging period during the Asian swing.

Luz and Matos are scheduled to face Francisco Cerundolo (ARG) and Alex Michelsen (USA) in the next round as they compete for a spot in the semifinals. The duo will subsequently participate in the ATP 500 in Vienna and the Paris Masters as they aim for a position in the ATP World Finals.
