Orlando Magic players face rotation battles ahead of preseason

As the Orlando Magic approach training camp, several players are facing intense competition for spots in the rotation under new head coach Sean Sweeney.

Jamal Cain, who earned a standard deal after performing well as a two-way player last season, must now secure his position within a potentially condensed rotation. Similarly, second-round pick Noah Penda is noted for having a sharp development curve and a clear path to earning minutes.

Jase Richardson also faces a pivotal season. Despite possessing the scoring and efficiency skills the team needs, the 6-foot-1 guard has seen limited opportunities due to the presence of veterans like Tyus Jones and Jevon Carter. Richardson will need to prove his value during training camp to maximize his role on a roster looking to move toward true contention.
