Orlando Magic prepare for 2026-2027 season with new coaching and broadcast deals
The Orlando Magic are entering the 2026-2027 NBA season with a focus on internal growth and player development. Following a 45-win season, the team has appointed Sean Sweeney as the new head coach, replacing Jamahl Mosley. The roster remains largely intact, with the core of Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Jalen Suggs expected to be healthy, alongside the addition of veteran Nikola Vucevic and rookie Izaiyah Nelson.
Franz Wagner enters the season looking to improve his shooting efficiency and offensive synergy with Banchero and Desmond Bane. For fans, the team has secured a new broadcasting arrangement following the shutdown of FanDuel Sports Network. A multi-year deal with local stations WRDQ-TV27 (rebranded as MagicTV 27) and WFTV Channel 9 will cover in-market games, while national broadcasts will be available via ESPN, NBA TV, NBC Sports Network, Amazon Prime Video, and Peacock Premium.
