Orlando Pirates were crowned champions of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership, finishing one point ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns after a 2‑0 victory over Orbit College at Mbombela Stadium on 23 May 2026. The title win completed a domestic treble and set a club record of 21 league victories in a 30‑game season.

Mid‑fielder Relebohile Mofokeng earned the league’s Player of the Month award for May, his fourth such accolade of the season, after leading the team in chances created during the final stretch. He will join seven teammates in representing South Africa at the FIFA World Cup, where the nation opens its campaign against co‑hosts Mexico.
