Orlando Pirates coaches address player form and staff departures

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has defended winger Oswin Appollis following questions regarding his recent consistency. Describing the Bafana Bafana international as a “diamond,” Ouaddou noted that the player is managing the fatigue associated with high-level competition and international commitments following his move from Polokwane City.

Separately, former assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has addressed rumors of a fallout with Ouaddou following his departure from the club to join Golden Arrows. While Ncikazi did not explicitly confirm or deny a breakdown in the relationship, he declined to discuss internal club matters, stating that a professional has a responsibility to protect the working environment of their employers.
