Orlando Pirates confirm Bheki Mabuza transfer and Mohau Nkota return

Orlando Pirates have confirmed the permanent signing of midfielder Bheki Mabuza from Marumo Gallants. Mabuza, a 23-year-old who previously spent time with the club, returns following impressive performances at Gallants. As part of the transaction, Daniel Msendami and Abdoulaye Mariko will join Marumo Gallants on season-long loan deals.

The club is also managing the return of Mohau Nkota, who joins on loan following a stint in the Saudi Pro League. While club legend Lebohang Mokoena welcomed Nkota’s return and noted the value of his international experience, he raised questions regarding the high number of wingers currently on the squad, which includes recent signings Kabelo Kgositsile, Bohlane Ngwato, and Gamphani Lungu.

These squad movements come amid reports that the club may be preparing for the potential sale of winger Oswin Appollis to an unnamed foreign club, with valuations estimated around R50 million.
