Orlando Pirates player signings loan deals South African football transfer market

South African club Orlando Pirates announced the acquisition of three new players for the 2026-27 campaign. Left‑back Neo Rapoo, 20, joins from Siwelele FC after developing at SuperSport United and representing South Africa at youth level. Defender Aphiwe Baliti, 24, also arrives from Siwelele but will immediately spend the season on loan back at his former club to continue his development. Central midfielder Matome Mmolai, 23, signs from Leicesterford City, adding depth to the midfield.

In the same restructuring, Pirates confirmed permanent transfers of Gomolemo Khoto and Siyabonga Ndlozi to Sekhukhune United. Additionally, right‑back Tshepho Mashiloane will return to Babina Noko on a season‑long loan. The moves are presented as part of a squad overhaul intended to ready the team for domestic competition and a return to the CAF Champions League.
