Orlando Pride defeat Houston Dash 3-1 behind Barbra Banda record

The Orlando Pride secured a 3-1 victory over the Houston Dash, marking the first win for interim head coach Yolanda Thomas following the dismissal of Seb Hines. The match, which faced a 90-minute weather delay, saw Orlando dominate the proceedings.

Zambian international Barbra Banda played a central role in the win, contributing to all three goals. An early Houston own goal by Leah Klenke gave Orlando the lead, followed by a penalty converted by Banda in the 43rd minute. In the second half, Haley McCutcheon scored a volley assisted by Banda to extend the lead to 3-0. Banda’s penalty was her 14th goal of the 2026 season, setting a new single-season club record for the Orlando Pride, surpassing the previous marks held by Banda and Marta.

The win keeps Orlando in contention for the playoffs, while the loss marks the third consecutive defeat for the Houston Dash.
