Orlando Pride fire head coach Seb Hines
The Orlando Pride have fired head coach Seb Hines, effective immediately. The club also announced that goalkeeper coach Paul Crichton will be departing alongside him.
Assistant coach Yolanda Thomas has been appointed as the interim head coach. The decision comes as the Pride struggle in the 2025 season, currently sitting in 12th place with an 8-12-2 record.
Hines, who was the first Black head coach in the NWSL, led the club to significant success in 2024, including winning both the NWSL Shield and the NWSL Championship. Orlando Pride VP of Soccer Operations and General Manager Caitlin Carducci stated that while the club is grateful for Hines’ leadership and professionalism, the change is necessary to align with the club’s long-term vision and future objectives.
