Orlando woman arrested for allegedly poisoning Central Florida man

Samantha Adams, 39, was arrested in Davenport, Florida, for allegedly poisoning a 69-year-old man. The arrest followed an investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office after the victim reported a suspicious medical incident.

The victim, who met Adams through a dating app, reported that he suffered a benzodiazepine overdose after consuming whiskey she provided. According to the arrest affidavit, the incident occurred following an argument regarding a vehicle purchase. The victim alleged that Adams may have intentionally administered the substance on at least three other occasions at her residence in Orange County.
