ORLEN aims to increase local content in strategic investments
ORLEN held the CAPEX Strategic Investments Supplier Forum in Łódź to strengthen cooperation with Polish companies. The event focused on the group's investment portfolio and procurement processes, aiming to build long-term relationships through the “Partners of Tomorrow's Energy” program.
The group's strategy through 2035 involves projects valued at approximately 380 billion PLN. Key investment areas include energy, future fuels, hydrogen, biofuels, gas energy, energy efficiency, and industrial asset modernization. A central goal is increasing local content by involving more Polish engineering, design, and technological firms in these large-scale projects.
Industry representatives, including the Polish Association of Construction Employers, noted that the scale of these investments requires close cooperation with the construction sector. While the company has expressed openness to dialogue to ensure competition and successful energy transformation, industry experts suggest that the practical effectiveness of these partnerships will depend on ongoing implementation.
