ORLEN Charge launches Poland's first MCS charging for heavy trucks
ORLEN Charge has launched Poland's first public Megawatt Charging System (MCS) infrastructure designed specifically for heavy-duty transport. The new charging stations are located at the Stobiecko Szlacheckie East and West service areas along the A1 motorway in the Łódź Voivodeship.
The infrastructure provides high-power charging capabilities, with MCS technology offering up to 1.5 MW of power. Additionally, the sites include CCS connectors capable of delivering up to 600 kW, allowing for the charging of both modern electric trucks and older models.
This development is intended to support long-distance logistics by reducing vehicle downtime and aligning with driver rest schedules. The investment also complies with European Union AFIR regulations, which mandate the expansion of high-power charging infrastructure along key TEN-T transport corridors.
