Orlen offers 500,000 PLN for bridge repair in Sól Kiczora

In Sól Kiczora, the Orlen company (formerly PGNiG) has offered 500,000 PLN to fund the renovation of a damaged bridge as compensation for using the structure during oil and gas drilling operations. Despite this available funding, the Żywiec County Road Authority (PZD Żywiec) has yet to proceed with the investment.

Local councilor Adam Iwanek noted that the renovation is estimated to cost approximately 1.1 million PLN. While the bridge currently allows for safe passage of vehicles up to 15 tons, the authorities are considering a full demolition and replacement with a new structure rather than a simple repair. Jolanta Korczyk, director of PZD Żywiec, stated that the project cannot proceed without finalized design documentation and administrative decisions, which are currently in progress.
