ORLEN opens first automated Stop Cafe shop near Prague station

ORLEN opened its first fully automated self‑service Stop Cafe outlet outside a fuel station near Prague's Braník railway station. The shop operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and offers a range of food, drinks and coffee familiar from the brand’s 363 stations across the Czech Republic. Executives Agnieszka Bobrukiewicz, board member responsible for retail, and Rostislav Moravec, director of ORLEN’s Czech network, said the move leverages the growing non‑fuel segment, whose revenues now equal those from fuel sales, and aims to boost profitability through digital solutions and high‑traffic locations. Customers enter using the DoKapsy app, verify their identity, select items, and pay via QR code, with security monitoring by cameras and a central protection desk. The concept is already being rolled out in Germany and will be expanded to other sites in the Czech Republic.
