Orlen reportedly ends sponsorship deal with PZPN

Reports indicate that the energy giant Orlen has decided not to extend its sponsorship agreement with the Polish Football Association (PZPN). While the previous contract was set to expire on August 31, 2026, negotiations regarding a partnership extension have reportedly reached a stalemate.

The potential loss of Orlen represents a significant financial blow to the federation. Previous estimates suggested the contract was worth up to 171 million PLN net, guaranteeing approximately 134 million PLN regardless of sporting results, with additional performance-based bonuses. Orlen has served as the general sponsor since January 2023, supporting various national teams including the men's and women's squads.

This development follows the departure of several other sponsors from the PZPN, including InPost, Biedronka, TCL, Staropolanka, and Leroy Merlin. Analysts suggest the cumulative loss of these partnerships could impact the federation's annual budget by as much as 60 million PLN.
