Orlen to resume Qatari LNG deliveries and open Singapore office

Orlen expects the first delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from QatarEnergy to Europe since March. The resumption follows a force majeure declaration by the Qatari firm, which halted production due to tensions between the US and Iran affecting tanker access to the Strait of Hormuz.

In a separate strategic move, Orlen announced plans to open a trading office in Singapore in the first quarter of 2027. Operating under the group’s British subsidiary, Orlen LNG Trading, the new office aims to expand the company’s presence in the Asian market, which accounts for the majority of global LNG demand.
