Ornella Vanoni honored with concerts across Italy for her 92nd birthday

Italian singer Ornella Vanoni was celebrated with two tribute events in August. On 9 August, the acoustic concert “Ornella Senza Fine” featuring vocalist Giorgia Renosto and guitarist Dario Spezia opened in Piazza Nazario Sauro, Pantelleria, as part of the Panteschità Estate 2026 program organized by the University Popolare di Pantelleria. The free performance highlighted key moments of Vanoni’s career, from her early partnership with Gino Paoli to collaborations with Vinicius de Moraes and Toquinho.

In mainland Italy, songwriter Pacifico staged the show “Diario sentimentale di una donna libera” to mark Vanoni’s 92nd birthday. Directed by Gabriele Russo and artistically coordinated by Gianmarco D’Alessandro, the production featured Simona Boo on vocals and pianist Carlo Gaudiello, with tickets priced between €17 and €25. Both events aimed to showcase Vanoni’s artistic freedom, humor, and lasting influence on Italian music.
