Oroslavje opens Early Intervention Dispensary for children
A new Early Intervention Dispensary has opened in Oroslavje as part of the Health Center of Krapina-Zagorje County. The facility is designed to provide timely, accessible, and coordinated professional support for children with developmental difficulties and their families.
Parents can access the dispensary without a referral or a confirmed diagnosis. The center aims to serve as a single point of contact where families can receive information, assessments, and guidance for further support. County Prefect Željko Kolar noted that between 650 and 700 children in the region may require early intervention.
The project was realized through a collaboration between Krapina-Zagorje County and HURID, supported by changes to health care legislation. The county provided 30,000 euros for equipment, didactic toys, diagnostic tests, and education, while the Health Center invested over 60,000 euros in space and resources. The multidisciplinary team includes educational rehabilitators, doctors, psychologists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Notably, the center is expected to become the first public health institution to offer neurofeedback services.
