Orquesta Sinfónica de Entre Ríos schedules new concert in Paraná

The Orquesta Sinfónica de Entre Ríos has scheduled a new concert at the Centro Cultural Juan L. Ortiz in Paraná for Saturday, October 3, at 20:00. The performance is subject to weather conditions following a previous cancellation.

A prior concert was suspended after musicians decided not to perform due to high temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius in a venue lacking air conditioning. Musicians cited concerns regarding the safety of their expensive, delicate instruments, noting that heat and humidity can cause damage and costly repairs. The orchestra is now awaiting temperatures around 22 degrees to ensure a safe environment for the instruments.

Under the artistic direction of Luis Gorelik, the upcoming program will feature guest director Gonzalo Hidalgo. The repertoire includes the Argentine premiere of ‘Nardugan’ by Elmir Nizamov, Maurice Ravel’s ‘Ma mère l’Oye’, and Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8.
