Orquestra de Bandolins da Madeira to close Algarve festival

The Orquestra de Bandolins da Madeira will perform the closing concert of the 13th Festival Internacional de Lagoa in the Algarve on Thursday, October 1. The performance is scheduled for 7:00 PM at the Auditório Carlos do Carmo.

This appearance marks the Madeirense ensemble's return to the festival after a ten-year hiatus. The 19-member orchestra will present a musical program developed during a workshop at the 2nd Eurico Martins Arts Festival held in Funchal in June. The concert also serves as a tribute to maestro Eurico Martins, the founder of the orchestra.

Currently under the artistic direction of André Martins, the orchestra has been active for 30 years. The festival, which began on September 18, features various national and international musicians.
