Orsera tourism complex to receive 2.8 million euro renovation investment

A total investment of 2.8 million euros has been allocated to recover and relaunch the Orsera tourism and hospitality complex in Val Canzoi, located in the municipality of Cesiomaggiore. The project is fully funded through a convention under the Fondo Comuni Confinanti, utilizing 1.2 million euros from the 2019-2024 programming and an additional 1.6 million euros from the 2019-2027 programming.

The renovation of the municipal-owned complex aims to transform it into a modern facility featuring an inn with dining services and lodging, structural and energy efficiency improvements, new services, and the redevelopment of external areas. The site serves as a gateway to the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park and has historically functioned as a gathering point for residents and hikers.

Dario Bond, president of the Fondo Comuni Confinanti and regional assessor for the mountains, stated that the intervention aims to restore function and perspective to a location central to the valley's memory, integrating it into a broader strategy for regional tourism valorization.
