Ortahisar Municipality digitizes municipal police inspections

Ortahisar Municipality has launched a digital transformation initiative for its municipal police (zabıta) services. Developed by the municipality's IT Department, a specialized software module allows field teams to conduct inspections using tablets and mobile printers.

Through this new system, officers can instantly query business licenses, operating permits, and tax information. During inspections, any irregularities are documented with photographs and location data, which are then automatically recorded in the system. Administrative documents, such as notices and violation reports, are generated digitally and printed on-site for immediate delivery to businesses.

Mayor Ahmet Kaya stated that the goal of this digital shift is to make municipal services faster, more accessible, and more efficient. The system is also integrated with the Ortahisar Public Communication Center to ensure that issues identified in the field are promptly reported to the relevant departments.
