Orthodox Christians for Life’s Baby Shower Donates 77,000 Diapers as Pro‑Life Groups Promote Pregnancy Support

Nearly 100 Orthodox parishes across nine jurisdictions organized the 6th Annual National Orthodox Baby Shower in Riverside, California, mobilizing more than 2,550 volunteers and donating over 76,900 diapers, 3,760 packages of wipes, $25,000 in cash, 5,270 baby clothes and shoes, and thousands of other infant supplies. The effort, led by Orthodox Christians for Life and highlighted by Executive Director Emily Yocum, partners each parish with a local pregnancy‑resource center that offers free medical services, counseling, and material aid to women facing crisis pregnancies.

In a separate pro‑life initiative, a PreBorn! Network Clinic produced a sponsored guide following a college student named Lorelle as she considered the abortion pill. The narrative emphasizes counseling, faith‑based support, and the clinic’s message that a temporary crisis should not lead to a permanent decision. It underscores the organization’s aim to provide alternatives and emotional support to pregnant women.
