Romanian Orthodox Church holds religious processions and conferences

The Romanian Orthodox Church has conducted several major religious and commemorative events across various regions. In Bucharest, the annual ‘Calea Sfinților’ procession took place, involving thousands of clergy and faithful who carried the relics of six saints around the Patriarchal Cathedral. Patriarch Daniel addressed the congregation, emphasizing the importance of family, love, and faith.

Other significant activities included the annual conference for missionary priests in Iași, focusing on those serving in hospitals, prisons, and elderly care centers. In Arad, conferences were held to commemorate the history of local female figures who contributed to national and Christian identity. Additionally, the ‘Zilele Craiovei Spirituale’ celebrations featured a concert at the Oltenia Philharmonic to honor Saint Demetrius.

In Prahova, the 19th National Catechetical Congress brought together educators to discuss the role of Scripture in pastoral missions. Meanwhile, the Armenian Diocese of Romania expressed concern regarding recent violent protests in France and other European countries, calling for social peace and dialogue.
