Çorum Mayor Halil İbrahim Aşgın Gives Mimar Sinanspor 1 Million TL Sponsorship

Mayor Halil İbrahim Aşgın of Çorum announced a 1 million Turkish‑lira sponsorship for the local football club Mimar Sinanspor. The funding will be provided through the Halk Et brand of the municipal company Beltaş A.Ş. and will cover chest‑side advertising on the team’s jerseys for the 2026‑2027 season.

The club, which will compete in Turkey’s Professional Transition League (PGL), received the support during a meeting with its president Hacı Ömer Yağlıdere, coach Hüseyin Eğer and neighbourhood head Arif Çınar. Aşgın emphasized the municipality’s commitment to sport and expressed hopes that the club will eventually reach the Super League, alongside Çorum’s own football team.
