Çorum: Missing Alzheimer's patient found safe after nine-hour search

A 78-year-old woman with Alzheimer's, identified as G. A., was found safe after disappearing from her home in Dutluca village, located in the Alaca district of Çorum.

The search operation, which lasted approximately nine hours, involved 36 personnel from the Alaca District Gendarmerie Command, the Gendarmerie Public Order Commando Unit, and AFAD. The search included the use of tracking dogs and four drones, two of which were equipped with thermal cameras to assist in the nighttime search.

The woman was located near a village road following a report from the Boğaziçi village headman. Local citizens also assisted in the search; one witness reported finding the woman by the roadside and providing her with a chair and a coat before notifying authorities. G. A. was found in good health and was taken to Alaca State Hospital for medical evaluation.
