Çorum Municipality completes Gazi Caddesi asphalt works

The Çorum Municipality has completed planned asphalt and infrastructure renovation works on Gazi Caddesi, a major transportation route in the city center. The project was carried out in two stages, covering a total distance of 1,700 meters.

During the process, approximately 9,000 tons of hot asphalt were laid following the renewal of both the infrastructure and the road surface. Çorum Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın noted that the project was challenging to implement due to the street's central location and heavy traffic density. The Mayor also highlighted that the use of a new milling machine helped reduce the duration of the asphalt excavation process, allowing the street to be reopened to vehicle traffic more quickly.
