Çorum to name park after poet and artist Rasim Kavlak

Çorum Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın announced that a park in the Bahçelievler neighborhood will be named after the late poet, painter, and sculptor Rasim Kavlak. The decision is expected to be discussed in the upcoming Municipal Council meeting.

Kavlak, who used the pseudonym ‘Can Rasim’, passed away following a tractor accident in Çobandivan Village. He was recognized for his significant contributions to literature through his books, poems, and articles, as well as his work in fine arts. A memorial service was held at the Çobandivan Village Cemevi, attended by local officials, writers, and community members.
