Bolivia rolls out Quinta Esencia gastronomy festival to attract tourists

Bolivia launched the second edition of the Quinta Esencia & Conversabor initiative in La Paz, running from 31 July to 1 August. The program gathers around 20 top restaurants to present author‑driven menus made entirely from Bolivian ingredients, with tasting menus priced at Bs 200. More than 800 students, chefs and entrepreneurs will attend the Conversabor forum, discussing entrepreneurship, financing, innovation and sustainability in the culinary sector.

Organised by Trendsetter Bolivia and cur‑ated by renowned chef Marcia Taha, the event is backed by the Vice‑Minister of Gastronomy, Sumaya Prado, and aims to position Bolivian cuisine as a global tourist destination. Officials highlight the potential to generate tourism, investment, jobs and to showcase the country’s biodiversity and culinary talent on the world stage.
