Orvieto implements healthcare reorganization to integrate local services

Orvieto Mayor Roberta Tardani has outlined a reorganization of local healthcare services aimed at improving integration between hospitals and territorial care. The plan follows national guidelines and PNRR frameworks, focusing on the progressive activation of the Orvieto Community House and a Community Hospital.

The model seeks to strengthen the collaboration between general practitioners, community nurses, and specialists to enhance patient care and reduce unnecessary hospital visits. While some activities will transition to the new facilities, certain services at the Borgo location, such as the CUP and blood collection points, are intended to remain available.
