Orvieto officials announce new community, healthcare, and waste management initiatives

Local administration and regional authorities in the Orvieto area are implementing new measures regarding community engagement, healthcare, and environmental management.

Orvieto Mayor Roberta Tardani announced plans to host a meeting with local associations to discuss collaborative projects. The initiative aims to strengthen the city's social and cultural fabric through structured relationships, including the management of public spaces, sports facilities, and educational community projects.

On a regional level, the administration led by Stefania Proietti has announced significant changes to public services. Following competitive procedures, 15 new medical directors will be assigned to the Santa Maria della Stella hospital to bolster departments such as cardiology, surgery, and pediatrics.

Additionally, a revised regional waste management plan has been approved. This plan concludes the authorization of volumes at the Le Crete landfill and officially archives a proposed 250 million euro incinerator project, aiming to stabilize waste management policies and prevent further increases in utility costs.
