Orville Peck discusses role as Vega in Street Fighter film

Country music artist Orville Peck has discussed his role as the character Vega in the 2026 Street Fighter cinematic reboot. Peck, who is known for wearing a mask in his public persona, noted a personal connection to the character, describing Vega as a queer-coded icon.

In an interview, Peck reflected on his childhood interest in the video game series and his experience filming on set. He also mentioned developing a close friendship with actress Callina Liang, who portrays Chun-Li.
