Osaka hosts memorial events for Expo 2025 first anniversary

A series of memorial events titled ‘1st Anniversary EXPO 2025 — Reliving that Surprise and Emotion Again @ Osaka Kitena!’ will be held from October 11 to October 13, 2026, to mark the first anniversary of the closing of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

The celebrations aim to promote the ‘Expo Legacy’ through two main programs. The ‘EXPO Reborn!’ event will take place at ATC Hall on October 11 and 12, featuring exhibits such as the ‘Mirai Human Washing Machine,’ Myaku-Myaku exhibitions, and musical performances by artists including PUFFY and Fujisaki Market.

On October 13, the ‘EXPO Beat Jam’ will be held at Universal Studios Japan, reuniting artists who contributed to the Expo's excitement, including Atarashii Gakko!, Kobukuro, and SIS. While food and retail zones will allow free entry, access to the ATC Hall and certain special programs will require prior application and a lottery system.
