Osaka Orknees launches crowdfunding to promote quadball in Japan
Osaka Orknees, a prominent quadball team based in Osaka, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to promote the sport and support their participation in national tournaments. The project, facilitated by Sportunity Inc., aims to raise 800,000 yen to cover travel, participation, and accommodation expenses.
Quadball, which has roots in the fictional sport of Quidditch, is currently seeing more activity in the Kanto region than in Kansai. As former national champions with five players having represented Japan in the World Cup, Osaka Orknees seeks to expand the sport's popularity and player base throughout Japan. Supporters can receive various rewards, including limited-edition team polo shirts and full uniform sets.
