Osaka Tourism Bureau and Hankyu Railway launch new regional travel packages
The Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau and Hankyu Railway have announced a joint initiative to promote tourism in the Minoh and Ikeda areas. Starting September 18, the partnership will offer specialized travel packages designed specifically for international visitors to Osaka.
These packages combine local tourism experiences with QR-code-based one-day unlimited passes for the Hankyu Takarazuka and Minoh lines. The project is part of the ‘FY2026 Digital Promotion Project,’ funded by Osaka Prefecture’s accommodation tax, which aims to utilize regional content across 22 municipalities to encourage travelers to explore areas beyond Osaka City.
By bundling transportation with local experiences, the initiative seeks to reduce travel planning hurdles for foreign tourists and distribute tourism demand more broadly throughout the prefecture.
