Osakidetza sees 21,408 applicants for 2023‑24‑25 public health job offer
Osakidetza, the Basque public health service, recorded 21,408 registrations for the second phase of its 2023‑24‑25 public employment offer (OPE). The applications cover 41 professional categories, representing an increase of 5,511 candidates compared with the previous OPE cycle.
The most popular categories were Specialist Technician in Radiodiagnostics with 2,788 candidates, mid‑level Technician in Administration and Management with 1,735 applicants, and Social Worker with 1,720 registrations. The OPE 23‑24‑25 will ultimately provide 5,425 positions across 107 categories in three phases, with exams scheduled for October and November. A new single‑test format combines theoretical and practical parts, and scores will be valid for three years.
The recruitment drive is part of the Basque Health Pact’s strategy to stabilise and strengthen the public health workforce, aiming to improve employment quality, labour conditions and the overall accessibility of health services.
