Osan Osaek Market opens digital delivery center with CJ Logistics
Osan Osaek Market has launched a ‘Digital Delivery Center’ in collaboration with CJ Logistics to modernize logistics for traditional market merchants. This initiative is the first of its kind in Gyeonggi Province and the second in South Korea, following a similar model in Daejeon’s Taepyeong Market.
The system is designed to reduce the logistical burden on small-scale merchants, particularly those operating single-person shops. Under the new system, merchants can request a pickup via telephone; a dedicated delivery manager then visits the shop to collect goods, which are subsequently loaded onto CJ Logistics vehicles for nationwide delivery the same evening. This allows merchants to continue their business operations without having to close their shops to visit post offices or courier drop-off points.
Osan City selected the Osaek Market for this project due to its strong commitment to improving logistics infrastructure, its existing support systems, and its high potential for business expansion driven by heavy foot traffic near the station area.
