Osasuna appeals to Madrid court over Sergio Nuin transfer

Osasuna has filed an appeal with the High Court of Justice of Madrid regarding the transfer of youth player Sergio Nuin to Athletic Club. The club is seeking to nullify a decision by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) that allowed the 16-year-old defender to move to Bilbao at no cost.

Osasuna argues that the RFEF exceeded its authority, claiming the matter concerns professional contract law rather than mere federative licensing. The dispute centers on a contract signed by the player's parents, which included a unilateral renewal option valid until 2028. While the RFEF's Jurisdictional Committee authorized the move, Osasuna maintains the resolution is invalid.

Sergio Nuin, a right-back who spent seven years in Osasuna's academy, has already joined Athletic Club's Juvenil División de Honor squad. The player previously expressed his desire to continue his career in Bilbao.
