Osasuna celebrates 106th anniversary amid calls for historical reparation
CA Osasuna marks its 106th anniversary this Saturday, October 24. The milestone is highlighted by the long-standing devotion of Ramón Morales, the club's oldest member, who has been a supporter since 1946.
Simultaneously, the collective Osasuna Memoria has organized a virtual meeting involving relatives of victims of Francoist repression following the 1936 coup. These descendants are calling on the club to perform a ‘saque de honor’ (honor guard) as a formal act of institutional recognition and reparation.
The group seeks justice under the principles of the Law of Democratic Memory, citing a history where club directors, founders, and players—including figures such as Eladio Zilbeti and Florencio Alfaro—were forced to resign or were extrajudicially executed following the military uprising.
