Osasuna schedules England, Italy, UAE preseason tour and signs new left‑back

Osasuna will conduct a six‑day preseason training camp in England from 27 July to 1 August, using the Avant Training Centre in Norwich. The club has arranged friendly matches against Ipswich Town (Premier League) and Norwich City (Championship), with additional fixtures against Napoli (Serie A) and Al Ain (UAE Pro League) pending confirmation. The first preseason match will be against Racing de Santander on 24 July in Spain. After the England stint, the team will travel to the Abruzzo region of Italy to face Napoli around 5 August, before returning to Pamplona to host Al Ain at El Sadar later in August.

In the transfer market, Osasuna have completed the signing of left‑back Abel Bretones from Real Oviedo for €2.8 million, marking the ninth left‑back acquisition since 2019. Bretones, 25, is expected to compete for the left‑back position with Juan Cruz, while recent departures include Javi Galán, who returned to Celta after a short spell.

The combined preseason itinerary and defensive reinforcement aim to prepare the newly promoted side for the upcoming La Liga campaign.
