Osasuna management has expressed a strong desire to extend the contract of 35-year-old Croatian striker Ante Budimir. Despite his current deal running until June 2027, the club is working to secure his long-term future in Pamplona.

Sporting Director José Antonio Prieto, known as Cata, described Budimir as a club legend and potentially the best central striker in Osasuna's history. Budimir has maintained high performance levels at the start of the current La Liga season, scoring five goals in the first seven matches.

Budimir joined Osasuna in 2020 and has since become a key figure for the team, previously setting a club record with 21 goals in a single La Liga season.
