Osasuna and Racing Santander face off in La Liga battle

Osasuna and Racing Santander are set to face each other at Estadio El Sadar on October 18, 2026, in a critical La Liga match for both clubs. Currently sitting in 15th and 16th place respectively, both teams have accumulated 8 points, making this a direct battle to move away from the lower reaches of the table.

Osasuna enters the match under new leadership following the return of Jagoba Arrasate. Arrasate has emphasized the need for “solidity” and “good pressure” to improve the team's recent form, which includes four losses in their last five matches. The squad receives a boost with the return of Kike Barja and Raúl Moro from injury, providing more attacking options.

Racing Santander has also struggled with defensive consistency, holding the worst defensive record in the league with 23 goals conceded. While they recently secured a draw against Valencia to break a losing streak, their away form remains a concern. The match is expected to be a high-stakes encounter as both sides seek to secure points to ensure their league survival.
