Osborne Football Club marks 125‑year anniversary with historic celebrations

Long‑time club stalwart Graeme Clarke is looking forward to the Osborne Football Club’s 125‑year celebrations this weekend as the Tigers host Holbrook. Clarke, who debuted in 1958, recalls being named the 19th man in his first senior match and not taking the field, a common practice at the time.

Clarke went on to play nearly 300 senior games, featuring in the club’s 1961 premiership side and winning the league’s leading goalkicking award that year. He witnessed the Tigers’ move from the Central Riverina Football League to the Hume Football League in 1970 and remains proud of the club’s humble roots and community spirit. Incoming coach Nick Perryman, grandson of former player Doug Perryman, will take over next season, continuing the family legacy at Osborne.
