Oscar Dorley makes first start for Al-Taawoun
Liberian captain Oscar Dorley made his first start for Saudi Pro League club Al-Taawoun in a 0-0 draw against Al-Khaleej. The 28-year-old midfielder played 60 minutes before being substituted in the match.
Dorley joined Al-Taawoun following a reported €2 million transfer from Czech champions Slavia Prague, ending a seven-year tenure where he won four Czech league titles and two Czech Cups. He has signed a two-year contract with the Buraidah-based club, which includes an option for an additional season through 2028.
Al-Taawoun chairman Bader bin Hassan Al-Ghannam stated that the signing is part of a strategic effort to strengthen the squad for the 2026-27 season.
